Margarita Madness

Posted by Bill Jennings ((Bay Area Northern Calif), United States) on 23 June 2009 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

I really enjoyed Sash's Abstraction 2, and many thanks to the link to Shawna's Abstract 9 that describes the inspiration I used to create this in PS. The original image I started from was from Gordo in his Serape from the dress rehearsal for Cinco de Mayo.

Just made it home after a month of travel - posted a few photos from my journey to within 48 miles of the antartica circle: at nearly the longest day of the year: hence, there was 21 hours a day of sunlight...

Thank you for your patience while I was out of touch.

I do hope you followed Bob Kelly's blog (my roommate) while he is still traveling - he is now on Easter Island - and will be updating his blog for some time to come - please check it out!

Wow... Very beautiful colours you've got... Although I kinda feel that the green kinda spoils it a little...

23 Jun 2009 5:22am

@Koushiro~光子郎: I think I'll try it without green - thanks for the feedback.

Barbara from Florida, United States

I love the madness of it all. Like blazes of fire twirling about in celebration. I actually feel the touch of green works well.
Great technique. I checked out Shawna's work too, impressive.

I can appreciate your words and support regarding the turmoil in Iran. It seems we have reached a time in this world that war and termoil like this should be something in the past.

23 Jun 2009 5:30am

@Barbara: Shawna's blog entry led me to trying this - I love learning from others on AM3. Regarding Iran - I advocate peace, and do pray that we all see a path forward soon - with the least destruction of lives.
